Target Market
The product is suitable for landlords who own residential properties and who require cover for the Buildings, Landlords Contents and Loss of Rent due to an insured peril. The product can cater for properties tenanted by the following tenancy types: Professionals, Students, DSS Non-Referrals, DSS Referrals, Asylum Seekers, Holiday / Second Homes and Unoccupied Properties.

The product can also accommodate unoccupied properties. For example, properties in between tenancies or under-going minor cosmetic/structural change. The product offers the following add-ons, Legal Expenses, Rent Guarantee, Home Emergency and Terrorism. The product is not suitable for properties situated in Northern Ireland.

Features & Benefits

  • Free £5,000 Landlords Contents when tenanted by professionals, students or DSS (Non-Referral). All white and brown goods included if supplied by the landlord
  • Accidental Damage to buildings is automatically included for professionals, students and DSS (Non-referrals)
  • Property Owner’s Liability £2,000,000 (Limit of Indemnity)
  • Loss of Rent 20% (Building Sum Insured), or up to £150,000 alternative accommodation except for unoccupied properties
  • Trace and Access up to £5,000
  • Accidental Damage to cables & underground services
  • Loss of Metered Water £2,500 any one claim, maximum £5,000 any one period of insurance
  • Index linking in the event of a claim
  • Unauthorised use of utilities cover up to £5,000

  • Capital Additions - 10% of the BSI or £250,000 whichever is less
  • Landscaped gardens - following damage by emergency services £5,000 in anyone period of insurance
  • Removal of wasp and bee nests - £1,000 in anyone period of insurance (£50 excess applies)
  • Clean-up costs and remedial work following the Illegal Cultivation of Drugs – up to £5,000 in any one period of insurance
  • Malicious Damage caused by persons authorised to be in the buildings* - Limited to £5,000 if there is not a satisfactory tenant’s reference
