Essential Business Legal cover is an insurance policy designed to protect businesses from a range of legal issues that may arise in the course of their operations. The cover provides access to legal advice, representation, and financial support to help businesses navigate through legal disputes and challenges.
What does this policy cover?
- Up to £100,000 legal costs and expenses per claim for disputes relating to your business, other than Executive Suite and Crisis Communication where the limit is £25,000. For Employment Compensation Awards, the insurer will pay up to £1,000,000 during any one period of insurance.

What will the cover pay for?
Dependent on the policy you have, commercial legal expenses insurance covers the costs of:
- A dispute with an employee that cannot be resolved
- A notice of an enquiry into the tax or VAT returns of the business
- Providing legal advice when it is needed quickly
- A Health & Safety inspection ending with a threat to prosecute the business
- A neighbouring business restricting access to the premises
- Navigating and resolving contract disputes
